Triangle Expressway News

Land and right-of-way acquisition for the Triangle Expressway may be delayed because the North Carolina Legiaslature adjourned Thursday without providing funding for construction of the Triangle Expressway. Legislators are discussing the possibility of returning to Raleigh in the fall for a special session devoted to transportation issues. Meanwhile, the North Carolina Turnpike Authority, the agency responsible for building the Triangle Expressway, is considering forming a public-private partnership in order to raise the money needed to get the project moving.
