J. David Stradley

Attorney J. David Stradley is a native of Statesville, North Carolina. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Wake Forest University, where he was a Guy T. Carswell scholar. In 1995, he graduated from Duke University School of Law with high honors.

Mr. Stradley's practice concentrates on representing individuals and families in eminent domain cases, medical malpractice cases, tractor-trailer crashes, and other catastrophic personal injury litigation. He also represents individuals in a variety of insurance matters.  

Mr. Stradley lectures frequently on a variety of topics, including trial practice and insurance issues.  He is an active member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers.  He has served as editor of The Litigator, the newsletter of the Litigation Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.

J. David Stradley Personal Biography

Mr. Stradley is married to Sarah Elizabeth Winslow; they have one daughter, Sarah Catherine.  Mr. Stradley has broad interests outside of the practice of law.  He is a member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh, serving on the Adminstrative Board. He enjoys singing, especially bluegrass and classical music. In addition, he plays guitar and piano. In the fall and winter, Mr. Stradley is an avid duck hunter. He is also an instrument-rated pilot.
Robert P. Holmes

Robert Holmes was raised in New Bern, North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating with a BS in Business Administration in 1981. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill Law School in 1984 and has been licensed to practice law in North Carolina since 1984.

Immediately after law school, Robert Holmes clerked as a Research Assistant at the NC Court of Appeals. Upon entering private practice over 15 years ago, he was fortunate to train under some of the finest lawyers and judges then practicing in North Carolina.

Robert Holmes is experienced in the trial and settlement of cases involving personal injury. He has handled hundreds of personal injury cases. He has experience in State and Federal courts.

For a number of years, Robert Holmes represented some of the nation's largest insurance companies; however, the practice now concentrates on representing injury victims in their claims against insurance companies and corporations as well as representing land owners in eminent domain cases.
